Pauline D. Boilard
AUBURN – Pauline D. Boilard, 88, passed away at her home on April 21, 2025 with her family by her side after a long illness.
She was born on May 24, 1936, daughter of the late Leon and Diana Blouin. Pauline was educated in Lewiston schools. She worked in the shoe industry in her earlier years. Pauline spent much of her life as a homemaker while her young children were growing up. Upon retirement she worked part time at FISC.
Pauline married Adelard Boilard on May 28, 1955 at the Basilica of Saint Peter and Paul church in a double ring ceremony with her brother, Raymond.
She lived in California with her husband, where their daughter, Susan, was born. They moved back to Maine living in Lewiston, Hebron, and, ultimately, making their home in Sabattus. Pauline and her husband then moved to Auburn to live with their daughter, Diane, and their son-in-law, Steve.
Pauline enjoyed music. She was a classically trained pianist and often entertained her family and friends at events and gatherings. Pauline, also, loved to dance. She and her husband were the envy of the dance floor. They were very entertaining to watch.
Pauline loved to travel. She and her husband spent many winters in Florida visiting their youngest daughter, Tammy. Pauline enjoyed going to the theater. She loved spending time at the ocean. Pauline liked fine dining and delighted in trying new restaurants. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She went to every graduation, many soccer and baseball games, dance and piano recitals, plays, and concerts. Pauline, also known as “Memere”, was her family’s biggest cheerleader.
She is survived by her sister, Adrienne Desrochers, her brother, Laurian Blouin; daughter, Susan Crocker and husband, Scott, her son, Robert Boilard and wife, Nancy, her daughter, Diane Daigle, and her husband, Steve, her son, Gary Boilard and his fiancée, Suzanne Blais, her son, Dennis Boilard and his wife, Diane, and her daughter, Tammy and her partner, Tim Neagle. Pauline is, also, survived by 12 grandchildren, Ryan Crocker and his wife, Joan, Jennifer Folker, and her husband, Jamie, Jeremy Boilard and his wife, Lori, Nicole Boilard, Matthew Daigle and his wife, Sofie, Zachary Daigle, Bethany Merrill and her husband, Matt, Taylor Murphy and her husband, Justin, Brandon Boilard and his wife, Heather, Tyler Boilard and his partner, Kyle, Kelsey Boilard and her fiancé, Anthony Derosier, and Brittany Larson. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, Landon Folker, Liam Folker, Van Crocker, Bailey Boilard, Tucker Daigle, Cade Merrill, Kendall Merrill, Sophie Evrard, Blake Murphy, Brooks Murphy, Hugo Boilard, Jayden Larson, Kaliyah Larson, Andrew Duran, and Aryanna Baez.
Pauline was predeceased by her husband, Adelard; her parents, Leon and Diana Blouin; her sisters Eva Gilbert, Lucille Loubier, Irene Lombard, Venise Baril, and Lorraine Desjardins, her brother, Raymond Blouin; her granddaughter, Tiffany Larson; and her great-granddaughter, Adalyn Mae Murphy.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of the AndWell Hospice staff for the wonderful care that Pauline received. The staff was extremely professional and compassionate.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Philips Church in Auburn at 11 a.m. with committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston on Wednesday, April 30.
