A woman collects her son’s toys Monday afternoon in front of 88 College St. in Lewiston. According to a witness who called 911, the young boy was throwing rocks at passing vehicles and when his mother told him to stop, he darted into the street and was hit by a passing motorist. According to an emergency responder on scene, the boy was taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
