BETHEL — Candidate Frank Del Duca hopes to return to Bethel’s select board, where four candidates are running for two open spots. Voting takes place June 10, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Del Duca’s responses to questions from the Bethel Citizen:

Why are you seeking the select board nomination?

The board does important work and I believe my experience can help in that ongoing effort. It has been an honor to serve the community thus far.

What do you think are some important issues facing the Town of Bethel?

Like all towns, Bethel faces a variety of issues. Some of these include police contract matters, emergency services, Cole Block building and changes at the transfer station.

Does Bethel overspend or underspend and, where should reductions/increases be?

Neither. The current budget is thoroughly reviewed in an open process and reflects honest consensus of many people. Our budget fairly balances community needs with available resources.

What is your experience with community organizations, and have you held positions in any organizations?

Regretfully, demands of small business ownership have taken the bulk of my free time.

What town board positions have you held?

Two terms School Board of Directors

Completing first term Select Board

Please offer any other information you would like to add.
