Kyeria Morse tossed a no-hitter, striking out 15 batters, and hit a two-run homer at the plate to lead the Oxford Hills softball team to a 4-0 win over Lewiston on Wednesday in Paris.
Morse added a double for the Vikings (7-3), while Natasha Child added two hits and Attie Campbell had a triple.
Ava Dionne struck out four batters for the Blue Devils (4-5).
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 7, MCI 1: The Mustangs (7-0) put up three runs in both the fifth and sixth innings en route to a win over the Huskies (4-2) in Pittsfield.
Shannah Parsons struck out seven while walking none and singled twice for Monmouth. Rileigh Chase added a triple and a single.
Kassie Snowman struck out 11 and had three hits for MCI.
HALL-DALE 2, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 1: The Bulldogs (7-0) broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning and held on to beat the Phoenix (3-4) in Jay.
Lucy Gray was the winning pitcher, striking out 14 while limiting Spruce Mountain to two hits and three walks.
Jade Graham led the Bulldogs’ offense with three hits, an RBI and a run scored. Claire Kapinos singled and drove in a run.
Phoenix pitcher Rylee Turner fanned five and allowed eight hits and one earned run. Santika Hodgkin doubled and drove in a run, while Aubrey Mitchell singled and scored.
MOUNTAIN VALLEY 22, MT. ABRAM 0: Madison Blanchette was 3 for 4 with four RBI, and Addison Libby didn’t allow a hit as the Falcons (7-1) defeated the Roadrunners (0-6) in a three-inning game in Salem Township.
Ali Mazza and Kyanah Wing also collected three hits, and Layce Boucher drove in three runs.
Libby struck out three and issued one walk.
ST. DOMINIC 7, MT. VIEW 0: Maddie and Emily Andrews combined to pitch a one-hitter for the Saints in Thorndike.
Maddy Andrews threw four hitless innings, striking out three and walking two, while Emily Andrews allowed one hit in three innings of relief.
Maddy Andrews also led St. Dom’s offense with a double, single, RBI and two runs scored. Chloe and Piper Croteau added two hits and and RBI apiece, and Cassidy Russell hit a pair of singles.
Madison Bennett had Mount View’s (0-7) lone hit.
BUCKFIELD 11, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Carmen Crockett pitched a no-hitter and drove in two runs with a double and a triple as the Bucks (5-1) beat the Seagulls (1-4) in a six-inning game at Buckfield.
Crockett struck out 14 and walked three.
Chloee Bennett also had two hits, including a double, and two RBI. Both Crockett and Bennett scored twice.
EDWARD LITTLE 10, MT. BLUE 5: Lexi Kelsea tallied four hits and three RBI and scored three runs in the Red Eddies’ (5-3) win over the Cougars (4-4) in Farmington.
Edward Little started strong, plating four runs in the top of the first inning. Kassidy Lobb drove in four runs on two hits, and Emily Poulin had three hits and and RBI.
Lobb also struck out four batters in four innings of relief. Chloe Leblanc started in the circle for the Red Eddies and finished with three strikeouts in three innings.
Leah Michaud homered and singled for Mt. Blue, while Leah Merrill and Chloe Maberry each hit a double.
BASEBALL
EDWARD LITTLE 10, MT. BLUE 8: The Red Eddies (4-5) held off a seventh-inning comeback bid by the Cougars (4-4) in Farmington.
Edward Little scored at least a run in every inning and carried a 10-4 lead into the bottom of the seventh.
TJ Kramarz went 4 for 4 with a triple, two runs and an RBI for the Red Eddies. Breccan Albert doubled, singled, drove in a run and scored three times, and Adam Meserve had a single and two RBI.
Nolan Leso had two hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored three for the Cougars. Jax Vienneau drove in two runs.
POLAND 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Aidan Bean’s go-ahead RBI single capped a three-run sixth inning for the Knights (3-6) in their comeback win over the Patriots (6-4) in Poland.
Bean finished with three hits. He also earned the win by pitching two innings of relief.
Carter Davis had two hits and drove in a run for Gray-New Gloucester.
MT. ABRAM 12, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 6: The Roadrunners (5-1) pulled away with three runs in the fourth and five in the fifth against the Falcons in Salem Township.
Mt. Abram led 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth. Walker Wolfe paced the offense with three hits, including a double. Brennan Mitchell and Killian Pillsbury also doubled.
Mitchell earned the win by pitching 2 2/3 innings of relief.
Tyler Warren led Mountain Valley with a pair of hits.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 14, OAK HILL 3: Jake Harmon had three hits, including a double, to lead the Mustangs (5-2) to a five-inning win over the Raiders (1-6) in Wales.
Noah Schultz added two hits, and drove in three runs for Monmouth. Sam Schultz doubled and drove in two runs, and Rory Foyt and Bryce Fletcher each had a single and two RBI.
On the mound, Kyle LePage struck out five in three innings and Rory Shardlow fanned four in two innings for Monmouth. They combined to allow only four hits, including a double to Oak Hill’s Braden Dubuc.
