Carly-Ann Jarvis went 3 for 4 and drove in Phoebe Paradis in the eighth inning to give Poland a 3-2 walk-off win over Wells in a Class B South softball contest Wednesday in Poland.

Jarvis finished with two RBI and a run scored, and Paradis scored the the Knights’ (7-8) other two runs.

Paradis didn’t allow a hit through the first five innings but walked seven and gave up two unearned runs while striking out 10. Karlee Lothrop pitched the last three innings, giving up one hit, by Jada Pullen.

Delani Brown went the distance on the mound for the Warriors (8-7), recording 12 strikeouts.

EDWARD LITTLE 3, MESSALONSKEE 2: Chloe LeBlanc pitched seven innings for the Red Eddies, striking out 13 and walking two Eagles batters to earn the win in Auburn.

Elizabeth Galway tallied three hits for Edward Little (8-6), while Allie Michaud added two hits and Kassidy Lobb singled and drove in a run.

Olivia Thomas finished with two hits and scored both runs for Messalonskee (3-10).

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 9, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Shannah Parsons pitched a shutout for the Mustangs, striking out 12 Phoenix batters and scattering five hits over seven innings in Jay.

Parsons also helped the offense with two hits. Lila Poussard finished with a team-high three hits, Rileigh Chase had two and Isabella Lyons, Riley Smith, Lillian Palleschi and Rileigh Chase each drove in a run for Monmouth (14-0).

Rylee Turner struck out seven batters for Spruce Mountain (6-6) and had one hit.

ST. DOMINIC 12, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3: Sophia Franciose tallied two hits, a double and three RBI for the Saints in their win over the Panthers in Yarmouth.

Piper Croteau had three hits, two runs and two RBIs for St. Dominic (9-3), Cassidy Russell added two hits and drove in two runs, and Emily Andrews had a pair of hits and scored twice.

Saints pitcher Maddie Andrews fanned five in seven innings.

Natasha Godfrey tallied two RBIs for North Yarmouth (10-3), and Lily Fortin struck out seven batters across seven innings. Fortin also contributed a pair of hits.

BASEBALL

CAPE ELIZABETH 12, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 8: Jimmy Hollowell was 4 for 4 with three RBI, spearheading a 16-hit attack as the Capers (11-3) defeated the Patriots (6-8) in Gray.

Andy Choi homered and drove in two runs. Choi, Joseph Grela, Jameson Bryant, Caiden Johnson and Henry Trowbridge all had two hits.

Bryant was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits and two runs (one earned) through five innings.

Jason Nevells drove in three runs and Kobi Conant had two hits for the Patriots.

MESSALONSKEE 13, EDWARD LITTLE 9: Jordan Lewis led the Eagles to a road win with two hits, including a double, two RBIs and three runs scored on against the Red Eddies in Auburn.

Ty Bernier finished with two hits and three RBI and one run for Messalonskee (7-6), and Sean Achorn pitched four innings and struck out four to earn the win.

Breccan Albert had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs for Edward Little (5-9). Chase Scammon tallied a double, a single, one run and one RBI, while Isaac Jalbert had to hits, an RBI and two runs, and TJ Kramarz doubled, singled and scored twice.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 11, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Zane and Rory Foyt combined to drive in five runs for the Mustangs in their five-inning win over the Phoenix in Jay.

Zane Foyt finished with two runs and two RBIs on two singles and a double. Rory Foyt doubled and drove in three runs. Jake Harmon (two runs) and Bryce Fletcher (run, RBI) each had a triple for the Mustangs.

Levi Laverdiere pitched four innings for Monmouth (10-4), striking out five and allowing two hits. Harmon pitched the final inning to preserve the shutout

Spruce Mountain’s (2-10) two hits were a double by Max Labonte and a single from Austin Armandi.

MT. BLUE 8, SKOWHEGAN 2: Dane Cousineau pitched a three-hitter and drove in three runs as the Cougars (9-4) earned their fifth straight victory by beating the River Hawks (5-9) in Farmington.

Cousineau stuck out 10 batters in seven innings on the mound. At the plate, he was 2 for 4 with a double. Nolan Leso finished with a team-best three hits and drove in a run, while Oliver Cormier (double, RBI) and Jax Vienneau (RBI) had two hits apiece and Ben Wrigley doubled for Mt. Blue.

Miller Foss doubled and Trevor Austin drove in a run for Skowhegan.
