NORWAY — Norma Salway and Dottie Adams will present “The History of Vintage Aprons” at Norway Memorial Library on Thursday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m.
This lively, interactive program, presented by two sisters, both retired teachers, will discuss the history, uses, and styles of aprons in American history. The program features the aprons made/worn by their mother, Alice Kimball, an excellent seamstress known for her unusual apron creations. Attendees are welcome to wear a vintage apron or bring one to show and tell a story about it.
Norma is pictured by a glass case display of vintage aprons, which will be viewable whenever the library is open, through June. Norway Memorial Library is located at 258 Main Street, Norway, Maine. Call 207-743-5309 or visit www.norwaymemoriallibrary.org for more information.
