Walker Dumas walked with two outs in the ninth inning, stole second and scored on a single by Noah Longfellow as Maranacook rallied to a 5-4 baseball win in nine innings over Dirigo on Monday in Readfield.
The Black Bears (12-4) scored four times in the bottom of the sixth inning and tied the game when Caldre Glowa stole home.
Noah Longfellow had three hits for Maranacook.
Dirigo scored two runs in the first on two fielder’s choices and added two more in the fourth without the benefit of a hit.
Hudson Lufkin had two hits for the Cougars.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 12, OAK HILL 2: Sam Schultz was 2 for 3 with three RBI and two runs scored as the Mustangs (11-4) beat the Raiders (4-10) in a game shortened to five innings in Monmouth.
Jake Harmon and Kyle LePage added two hits and two RBI each for Monmouth. Gavin Hall had a double.
Braden Dubuc had a double for Oak Hill.
SOFTBALL
LEAVITT 8, ERSKINE ACADEMY 1: The Hornets scored seven runs in the fourth inning to beat the Eagles in Turner.
Hailey Cyr struck out three and allowed three hits to earn the win for Leavitt (12-3). She added a triple. Hailey Turcotte also hit a triple and Ashlyn Holbrook smacked a double.
Erskine (7-8) scored in the top of the first.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 9, OAK HILL 0: The Mustangs (15-0) scored eight runs in the fifth inning to beat the Raiders (6-8) in Monmouth.
Shannah Parsons pitched a complete game, allowing two hits and striking out nine for Monmouth. Rileigh Chase had two doubles, while Evelyn Pettengill had a double and a single.
GIRLS LACROSSE
TRAIP ACADEMY 10, ST. DOMINIC/OAK HILL 0: Keria Alessi scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, as the Rangers (9-4) beat the St. Dominic/Oak Hill co-op (0-11) in Auburn.
Keira Durgin, Sarah Carven and Lucy Bolanos each scored twice for Traip. Sam Latchaw, Delia Hartley, Saide Catalogna and Maddy Rohan also scored.
BOYS LACROSSE
OXFORD HILLS 7, LEWISTON 6: Quincy Edson scored four goals — including three in the first quarter — to lift the Vikings (5-8) past the Blue Devils (7-6) in Paris.
Dean Redman and Bryan Dornham each helped out with a goal and an assist. Connor Richard also scored for Oxford Hills.
Collin Michaud scored four times and added an assist for Lewiston. Jackson Bement had two goals and three assists.
Chase Edmonds made eight saves for Oxford Hills, while Brock Rancout stopped 10 shots for Lewiston.
