BERLIN — St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts, Series sponsor Bryant Funeral Home, and an Anonymous donor are proud to present Creeque Alley on Saturday, June 7. Tickets for the 7 p.m. event, with doors opening at 6 p.m., are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Creeque Alley features guitars, harmonicas, and vocals by Massachusetts musicians Dan Kirouac and Sean Fullerton. This duo explores the often-overlooked folk-rock genre of music, tracing its historical roots from the American folk revival of the early 1960s to the songs that became staples of today's music featuring the singers and songwriters of the mid-to-late part of the decade.
The program is a fun and historical look at the music that helped shape the 1960s musical landscape, highlighting well-known gems from bands such as The Kingston Trio, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, the Mamas and Papas, and many others. Creeque Alley has been performing in Massachusetts and New York for about five years, and tonight are thrilled to add New Hampshire to the touring repertoire.
