LEWISTON — State police Wednesday identified a deceased woman found in a home on Old Greene Road on Monday as 42-year-old Melissa Donoghue of Lewiston, according to a Department of Public Safety news release.

Lewiston police responded to a report of a death at 282 Old Greene Road just after 5 a.m. Monday.

When they found her body they called for assistance from Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit.

An autopsy by the Office of State Medical Examiner resulted in the identification.

The cause and manner of Donoghue’s death remains under investigation, the release said. There is no threat to the public.
