RANGELEY — Rangeley Health and Wellness celebrates Independence Day 2025 with two days of family fun and fitness.
Adopt your rubber ducks today for RHW’s annual Duck Race, splashing down on Thursday, July 3. Numbered ducks are available until 10 a.m. on July 3rd. Adopt a duck or a flock, $5 per duck, at pop-up sites throughout the Rangeley area and at RHW’s Fitness Center front desk, 25 Dallas Hill Road. Lucky duck numbers are assigned at the time of adoption.
Immediately following Rangeley’s July 3rd Doll Carriage parade on Main Street, adopted ducks are dropped into the stream near the Pine Tree Frosty, where they’ll race their way downstream to Rangeley Lake. Prizes will be awarded for the first 60 duck numbers that cross the finish line. Watch the race in person or live on RHW’s social media channels. Winning numbers will be posted online, and winners will be notified by phone.
On Friday, July 4, lace up for the Stars and Stripes 5k and Kids Fun Run at Rangeley Health and Wellness. Pre-registration is recommended.
The free Kids Fun Run begins at 9 a.m. on the grounds of RHW. Aspiring young runners will compete in a contained race with like-spirited sprinters.
Following the Fun Run, runners and walkers line up for the annual Stars and Stripes 5k. Racers will follow a scenic course down Dallas Hill, through downtown Rangeley, and circle back to the starting point at RHW. The course is paved, stroller friendly and designed for all skill levels. Patriotic gear is encouraged and leashed pets are welcome to join.
Register for the Fun Run and the 5k through the ‘EVENTS’ link at rangeleyhealthandwellness.com. Registration closes at 8:30 a.m. on July 4.
