ANSWER: Once again, this concert series includes an eclectic lineup of musical artists. Bring your blankets, chairs and anything else you need for outside enjoyment on these gorgeous Maine summer evenings.

The Poland Spring Preservation Society was formed in 1975 shortly after the Poland Spring House fire. The society is dedicated to preserving the history of Poland Spring through the operation of the Maine State Building and All Souls Chapel. Today, these buildings are enjoyed as the site for historic exhibits, an art gallery, weddings and concerts throughout the summer months. The society operations are directed by a volunteer board and staff members.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Historical Societies of Mechanic Falls and Poland tour of the Advent Christian Camp in Mechanic Falls scheduled for earlier this month was postponed due to inclement weather. The new date for the presentation is June 28 at 10 a.m.

ANSWER: Here is the original announcement regarding this event: The Historical Societies of Mechanic Falls and Poland have been invited to a presentation and tour of the Advent Christian Camp.

The camp, located at 128 Lewiston Road in Mechanic Falls is associated with the Advent Christian Church, a denomination established in 1860 in Salem, Massachusetts. The Advent Christian Camp Meeting Association, then known as the Androscoggin Camp Meeting Association, purchased the current property in 1889 and camp meetings have been held there ever since.

Yes, the weather has been challenging when attempting to schedule outdoor events but hopefully, as we move on into summer, there will be improvements. If not, we are just going to have to make our own sunshine and get on with it.
