DEAR SUN SPOTS: SHAREcenter is looking for someone who can help go through the electronics we’ve received and see if they work or if we need to recycle printers, monitors, TVs and more.

If you can help us, this will enable us to pass the useable items off to our members and clear our shelves of everything else. You can contact us at 312-3810 if you have questions or are able to help. Thank you. — The Volunteer Committee at SHAREcenter, Lewiston

ANSWER: What a great volunteer opportunity for someone with this kind of expertise. Perhaps a college student or a savvy digital/electronics collector could donate some time and help a great organization that does so much for the community. Let us know what happens!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Can you give me any tips on how to find Sun Spots in the latest iteration of the digital Sun Journal?

I used to reach it through the “Advice” tab at the top of the page, but that tab has gone away, and “Advice” hasn’t been included under “Life & Culture,” where I expected to find it. The only way I’ve been able to get to Sun Spots is a multistep process that involves going to “Sections,” typing in “Sun Spots” in the search box, and then clicking the “most recent” option to get to today’s column. I’m hoping that there’s an easier way. — Jean, no town

ANSWER: Sadly, I don’t think there is an easier way. It’s not very user-friendly but I’m certainly glad you figured it out and are helping to spread the word.
