RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Association (RRGSA) is excited to host its annual Youth Fishing Tournament on Saturday, July 5. This family-friendly event invites young anglers to enjoy a day of fishing, camaraderie, and competition in the beautiful Rangeley region.
Event Schedule:

8 a.m. — Registration begins by age group

9 – 9:30 a.m. — Fishing session for the first age group

9:45 – 10:15 a.m. — Fishing session for the second age group

10:30 – 11:00 a.m. — Fishing session for the third age group

11:30 a.m. — Prize awards by age group
Participants will fish in three separate age groups (exact age categories to be announced shortly). Each group will have a dedicated 30-minute fishing session, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. All equipment and bait are provided by RRGSA.
“We are thrilled to bring together young fishing enthusiasts for a day of fun and friendly competition,” said Sonny, event coordinator. “Our goal is to foster a love for the outdoors and fishing, while supporting the local community.”
The Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsmen’s Association encourages families to come out and support the youth anglers. This event is a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn new skills, make friends, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Rangeley region.
Registration opens at 8 a.m. on July 5 at the event site. Participants should arrive early to sign up and receive their equipment.
