I’ve been hearing a lot lately about our “heroic ICE officers” being attacked for simply doing their job. Whether I agree or not that their jobs are worth doing, I strongly disagree that they are heroes. Wouldn’t a hero proudly display their identity? Why would they wear a mask if they are so heroic? Some argue that their identity must remain concealed to protect them from threats, but I see many more threats against the people standing up for those pursued.
Some have compared our current immigration officers to the well-known Gestapo of the Hitler regime. I don’t think so. Officers of that branch were uniformed and proud members of the Reich. We should expect no less of our own.
