REGION— Trails for Rangeley Area Coalition, or T.R.A.C., is an informal gathering of people interested in being in the woods and on the waters with like-minded people who share the desire to hike, paddle and bike the healing environs of our surroundings. The group meets twice weekly through September for group hikes, bikes and paddles. On Tuesdays, the group meets at 8 a.m. in the Rangeley Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce parking lot. One Fridays at 8 a.m., they meet at the lot at the junction of routes 16 and 4 in Oquossoc. From these locations, they travel by car to the destination trailhead or put-in.
There are no charges or dues of any kind to join T.R.A.C. Participation is all voluntary, yet well organized and enjoyable.
If you would like to learn more about T.R.A.C, please visit the Trails for Rangeley Area Coalition Facebook page or email Jeff at [email protected].
A note from Jeff: We have a great July schedule planned. The hikes will continue to gradually become more strenuous and will alternate with some paddle days. I am still looking for volunteers to co-lead activities throughout the rest of the season. Also note that we will have our annual meeting on the last Tuesday of the month where we will elect officers and discuss future plans.
