WATERFORD — The first Waterford Summer Breakfast of 2025 was a great success! On a breezy 4th of July morning, over 350 friends, neighbors, guests, and volunteers were served breakfast at the historic Wilkins Community House.

Continuing the decades-long tradition, three additional Wednesday morning breakfasts are coming in 2025: July 17, July 31, and August 14, 7:30 – 10 a.m. The hearty menu includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, muffins, donut holes, juice, coffee, tea, and locally sourced, real Maine maple syrup from Colonial Hill Farm in Waterford. $12 for adults, $8 for children aged 4-12.

This year’s 4th of July festivities included a parade, the Waterford Historical Society open house, the Waterford Farmers Market, vendors, and the annual Library Book Sale, which will continue in the Wilkins House basement during the next three breakfasts.

Proceeds from the breakfasts help support this busy year-round community gathering space. The Wilkins House is located at 19 Plummer Hill Road, in the heart of Waterford, adjacent to the Congregational Church.
