Lewiston native Emily Strachan has signed to play her final year of college basketball at Fordham University.
Strachan announced her commitment to Fordham, an NCAA Division I school in the Bronx, New York, on social media earlier this week. The Fordham women’s basketball team announced Strachan’s signing the following day.

The 2021 Lewiston High School graduate played the past two seasons at Cal State Fullerton before entering the transfer portal this spring. The 5-foot-7 guard appeared in 29 games and started 24 for the Titans in the 2024-25 season. She averaged 5.7 points and scored in double figures five times, including a season-high 24 against California State University, Northridge on Feb. 6. Her 75.8% free-throw shooting led Fullerton this season.
Strachan played two seasons at Central Maine Community College, where she was part of the Mustangs’ 2022 USCAA Division II national championship team and was a two-time USCAA First Team All-American and a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-American.
Greely High School graduate Anna DeWolfe played four years at Fordham before transferring to Notre Dame for her final season in 2023-24.
