JAY – Constance Marie Theresa (Castonguay) St. Pierre, 91, of Jay, Maine, died peacefully at her home with her loving family and two sisters by her side on July 7, 2025.
Constance (Connie) was born in Canton, Maine on July 18, 1933, a daughter of George and Bertha (Moreau) Castonguay. On May 7, 1960, she married Albert St. Pierre at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She worked as a secretary at Al’s Tire for 18 years, which was owned and operated by her late husband, Albert, from their self-employment farm in Jay.
She is survived by eight daughters and three sons, Lena Laplante and her husband Don of Sabattus, Diane Landry and her husband John of Woodstock, Ga.; Antoine St. Pierre and his companion Darci of Jay, Thomas St. Pierre and his companion Kim of Jay, Corrine Hutchinson and her husband Corey of Weld, Ida Simmons and her husband Steve of West Gardiner, Mariette Hanlon and her husband Kevin of Lisbon, Jean St. Pierre and his wife Jamie of Westport, Mass., Jeanette St. Pierre and her companion Ali Kojak of Decatur, Ga., Adele St. Pierre and her husband Antoine Soued of Providence, RI, Melinda Kennison and her husband Tim of Gardiner; as well as several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Maryette Castonguay of Jay, Elaine Castonguay of Jay. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, her father and mother, four sisters, Bernadette Castonguay, Jane St. Pierre, Annette St. Pierre, Laurianne Castonguay and four brothers, Romeo Castonguay, Andre Castonguay, Bertrand Castonguay and Francis Castonguay
The family would also like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits and well wishes. Special thanks to her niece, Theresa Timberlake and Andwell Services, especially Nurse Susan for their personal care and support.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 12 at 10 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, Church Street, Jay. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Road, Jay, Friday from 5 – 8 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Memories may be shared with the family at http://www.wilesrc.com.
