Madden said it was the first significant out-of-area trip that she went on at that point in her life, and mailed the postcard to her grandmother, plus one other to her parents, both to the same address. Though Madden’s family no longer owns the home at the original address, the current homeowner and a neighbor helped get in touch with her for the postcard’s return.
