OXFORD — There will be a 3-T Auction benefitting the Mexico Mission Trip on July 12, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church in Oxford. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a free dinner of homemade baked beans, hot dogs, and coleslaw. At 6 p.m., the 3-T auction will begin.

The 3-T stands for Talents, such as donating hours of yard, housework, musical offering, shopping, caregiving, wrapping Christmas gifts, helping with wood, handmade work such as bird houses, stained glass etc. etc.; Treasures of all kinds of items, such as household items, gifts, sports goods, and Treats, everyone’s favorite such as carrot cake, rolls, Nisu, pies, fudge etc. Jerry Major will be the auctioneer.

The money raised will go towards helping the team of twelve local people from seven different churches get to San Felipe, Mexico to 99plus 1 ministries to do a variety of projects, such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc., in peoples homes as well as other mission opportunities in the area, such as Nueva Cancion, a Christian-based men’s rehabilitation, the senior community center and the Serenity House, an assisted living center for senior men, to name a few.

The public is invited to come and join the fun. People can bring items to donate for the auction on the day of the auction. It is always a fun event, so come and support this very worthy cause.

The Oxford Advent Christian Church is accessible. The church is located at 1130 Main St. (Rte 26) in Oxford.
