Deborah A. Wing

LITCHFIELD – Deborah A. Wing, 62, a resident of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was born March 9, 1963, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Paul Soucier and Georgianna M. (Saucier) Soucier. She attended schools in Lewiston and Litchfield, and later completing her courses to receive her diploma.

On June 4, 1980, in Auburn, she married the love of her life, Joseph Edward Wing. Deborah worked in local shoe shops and as a CNA for Montello Nursing Home and Russell Park Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and the Grace and Truth Bible Church.

Deborah enjoyed all crafts, making jewelry and arranging artificial plants, to name a few. She had a love for people with her big heart; she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Wing; two sons, Joseph S. Wing and wife Sarah and Michael R. Wing; two grandchildren, Hunter and Gage Wing, all of Litchfield; a sister, Linda Varney and husband Glenn of Litchfield, a brother, Michael Hathorne of Litchfield; many nieces and nephews; and a few foster brothers and sisters.

She was predeceased by her parents; her stepfather, Rodney Hathorne; and two brothers, Roger Soucier and Wayne Hathorne.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, at the Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Plains Road, in Litchfield. Visiting hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., in Monmouth.
