NORWAY — The streets of Norway will once again come alive on Saturday, July 26, as the community celebrates the joy of music and dancing at the Norway Opera House Street Dance. This annual event, held in the heart of downtown Norway at Longley Square on Main Street, is free and open to the public. Bring your chair, blanket, picnic, and dancing shoes!
Here’s the musical lineup:
• 5 p.m.: Don and Judy Mayberry
• 6 p.m.: Jeanine Loubier and Rusty Wiltjer
• 7 p.m.: Creation Completed
Beyond the celebration, the Street Dance serves a vital purpose by raising funds to support the Norway Opera House’s mission to preserve and promote local arts and culture and gatherings. Attendees not only enjoyed an evening of music and dance but also contributed to the sustainability of the community’s artistic endeavors.
The Norway Maine Opera House is actively working to bring the second and third floor performance spaces back to a fully functioning opera house and ensure its place in the community for generations to come. To be involved in this exciting opportunity, consider joining the NOH Events Committee, signing up for the monthly newsletter, or making a donation.
