Many immigrants are part of our essential workforce. If we are picking up some vegetables at the grocery store for a family dinner, thank an immigrant. If we have an elderly relative who receives hot meals, clean sheets and compassionate care at a nursing home, thank an immigrant. If we enjoy that clean plate, linen napkin and fresh glass of water at a local restaurant, thank an immigrant.
Gratitude shines a light on the darkness of fear.
