Lewiston’s Isaiah Harris finished sixth in the men’s 800 at the USA track and field championship on Sunday in Eugene, Oregon.
Harris ran a personal best time of 1:44.23 in Sunday’s final.
Donavan Brazier won the race in 1:42.16, followed by 16-year-old Cooper Lutkenhaus (1:42.27), Bryce Hoppel (1:42.49), Josh Hoey (1:43.06) and Brandon Miller (1:43.14).
Harris was in fifth place after the first 400, just 0.37 seconds behind Hoey, who led at the halfway point.
The top three finishers Sunday qualified for the U.S. team for the world championships.
