Host Shrewsbury scored two runs in the fifth inning to eliminate Farmington from the American Legion Northeast Regional Tournament with a 2-0 win on Thursday morning in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Connor Rice and Jackson Lucarelli both hit RBI singles in the fifth for Shrewsbury.

Nolan Leso had two hits for Farmington, which went 0-2 in the tournament. Killian Pillsbury added a single.

Leso also pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing two hits, while striking out two and walking two. Aiden Wilkins pitched 2 1/3 for Farmington, allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out two and walking one.
