DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you for posting my request regarding a building materials donation (July 29 Sun Spots). Surprisingly, we only received one inquiry for the doorknobs. I thought you may be interested in the outcome.

We are grateful for your recommendation for The Last Sheaf as we were not aware of this organization. I contacted them and Greg responded immediately. On Aug. 5, two young men came to pick up all the items, plus additional pieces we offered them. They were polite and thankful for our donation and presented me with a dozen roses as a thank you. How awesome is that?

They certainly made our day by relieving us of all these items we had no use for and showing their appreciation with flowers! We would certainly recommend them. — Denise, no town

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I just want to follow up with you regarding the letter I wrote to a Sun Spots offering free roll shades June 26 Sun Spots).

I received a text first thing in the morning on the day the column was published and a nice couple from Lewiston picked them up. They even sent me a photo of the shades installed in their sunroom within that week! Thanks for helping to recycle these very nice shades. — Ann, no town
