Lewiston Public Works employees set up tables Tuesday morning at Simard-Payne Memorial Park on Beech Street to prepare for the three-day Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival. The Lewiston-Auburn Balloon Festival will begin Friday and run through Sunday at Simard-Payne Memorial Park, 36 Beech St. in Lewiston.

Balloon launches are planned for 6 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.

The hot-air balloons range from the classic shape to specialty-shaped.

The festival will feature live music, a parade, a classic car show, tours of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, artisan/makers fair and trade show, a carnival, activities for children, vendors, food and more.
