LEWISTON — Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian Friday afternoon, according to a Lewiston Police Department Facebook post.

Around 12:55 p.m., a pedestrian who was walking on the sidewalk and was struck by a vehicle.

Police discovered the vehicle had jumped the curbing and entered Kennedy Park before coming to a stop.

The injured pedestrian was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in unknown condition, according to the post.

The driver, who remained at the scene, is cooperating with police.
