Quinn Kenney hits the nail on the head with the op-ed “Laurel Libby is no hero” on Aug. 9. I made the same point when I sent the representative a letter after I read she was voicing an interest in running for governor. I would not consider a vote for her unless an apology was forthcoming.
I hope most Mainers see through the bombast and self-interest of the twisted comments she concocted when asked to apologize to the minor she abused.
I honor the American tradition of free speech but I also honor following the rule of law.
