WEST PARIS — Several area fire departments are on the scene of a barn fire on Pioneer Street that has reportedly spread into the woods.

Fire departments from West Paris, Greenwood, Norway, Paris, Sumner and Woodstock responded to 99 Pioneer St. in West Paris for a barn fire, according to early reports.

Lt. Aaron Turcotte, Maine Public Safety spokesperson, said Friday afternoon that the Office of State Fire Marshal was on the scene investigating.

A West Paris Fire Department representative could not provide further information.
