NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce is holding MERIT (Maine Retirement Investment Trust) info session. This is a state-sponsored retirement savings program designed to ensure that every Maine worker has the opportunity to build a secure financial future by providing small businesses with a no-cost program to provide retirement savings to their employees. During this program, you will learn about the law that created MERIT, what MERIT means for your business, what MERIT means for your employees, what businesses are eligible for MERIT, and how to register with MERIT.
Beth Bordowitz is the Executive Director of the Maine Retirement Board. She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of numerous programs, including the State of Maine’s venture capital fund and the State’s College Savings Program, the NextGen College Investment Plan. Beth is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Maine Health Access Foundation. She holds a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Camden.
We believe this program offers meaningful value to many in our membership —particularly small businesses. While this is not a program hosted or co-sponsored by our chamber, we recognize the importance of the topics being covered and encourage you to attend if it aligns with your interests and needs.

MERIT (Maine Retirement Investment Trust (MERIT) program will be held on Thursday, September 11, from 7:30 – 9 a.m. at the Ripley Medical Office Building Conference Room, 206 Main Street, Norway, ME. Chamber Members – $10 includes breakfast buffet. Non-Members – $15 includes breakfast buffet.
