Annabelle Carlton scored the only goal to give Monmouth Academy a 1-0 girls soccer win over rival Winthrop on Monday at Charlie’s Field in Winthrop.

Carlton found the back of the net with 31 seconds left in the second half.

Both teams are now 1-1. They are schedule to play again Saturday in Monmouth.

TEMPLE ACADEMY 1, TELSTAR 0: Sophia Isgro scored to lift the Bereans (2-0) past the Rebels (0-2) in Bethel.

Eliana Frank made seven saves for Temple. Cameron Corey had an assist.

MARANACOOK 4, OAK HILL 0: Evelyn Stevenson scored two goals to lead the Black Bears (2-0) to a win over the Raiders (0-2) in Readfield.

Kate Parker added a goal, while freshman Chloe Mills scored her first career goal for Maranacook.

Celia Bergdahl had two assists for the Black Bears, while Alice Ferran and Madi Jacobson each added an assist.

MT. ABRAM 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0: Abby McCarty and Evelyn Pepin scored twice apiece as the Roadrunners (1-1) beat the Phoenix (0-1) at Jay.

McCarty and Lya Pepin each had an assist for Mt. Abram.

Roadrunners goalie Edna Bilodeau stopped two shots for the shutout. Jayda McDonald recorded 13 saves for Spruce Mountain.

FIELD HOCKEY

MESSALONSKEE 7, OXFORD HILLS 0: Reagan Gale scored two goals to help the Eagles (1-0) beat the Vikings (0-2) in Paris.

Lily Smart, Chloe Masse, Addie Hafford, Sophia Ventimiglia and Emmy Dunbar each added a goal for the Eagles.

Kya Smith made 18 saves in the loss for Oxford Hills.

HALL-DALE/MONMOUTH 3, DIRIGO 1: Abby Labonte, Chloe Beauschesne and Natalie James all scored as the Bulldogs (0-1-1) beat the Cougars (0-1) in Dixfield.

Hannah Rausch and Grace Estes each had an assist for Hall-Dale.

Lana White scored for Dirigo.

BOOTHBAY 10, TELSTAR 0: Zuri Smith scored four goals, and the Seahawks (1-0) cruised to a win over the Rebels (0-2) in Bethal.

Moriah Smith and Frida Kirchhauser each added two goals, and Allie Smart and Lilly Ann Cowing also scored for Boothbay.

Madelyn Cooley made 22 saves for Telstar.

BOYS SOCCER

PINE TREE ACADEMY 7, RANGELEY 0: Seven players scored as the Breakers (1-0) beat the Lakers (0-1) in Rangeley.

Miguel Matos, Samuel Batista, Rhett Tyson, Camden Brace, Collin Verill, Abner Poland and Fitz Roy all scored for Pine Tree. Verrill also had three assists. Colby Solberg stopped two shots.
