Chloee Bennett, Buckfield senior midfielder: Buckfield graduated 11 players from last year’s Class D South championship team, but Bennett returns and provides versatility across the pitch, along with scoring opportunities (10 goals, 10 assists), that will be crucial to the Bucks in their move to 8-person soccer.

Alyssa Breton, Buckfield senior defender: Breton contributed two assists and 15 defensive preventions last year. With more ground to cover and less teammates to help in the first season of 8-person soccer, the sweeper will be relied on even more on the back half of the pitch.

Annabelle Carlton, Monmouth Academy senior defender: The regional all-star registered three goals and five assists last season for the Class D South runners-up.

Sophia Cote, Edward Little senior forward: A returning captain that can play any of the front three positions, Cote looks to continue her scoring role in the Red Eddies’ attack that found a rhythm at the end of last season.

Kaitlyn Frost, Monmouth Academy senior midfielder: Frost scored seven goals and added four assists to earn Class D South all-region honors in 2024.

Abby McCarty, Mt. Abram senior forward: McCarty used her game knowledge, speed and finishing ability to score 11 goals with four assists last season and earn second-team all-MVC honors.

Sophia Nino, Dirigo senior forward: The Cougars’ top scorer for the past three seasons, coach Chris Araujo believes Nino will continue her goal-scoring contributions. The captain scored 14 of Dirigo’s 16 goals last year.

Evelyn Pepin, Mt. Abram sophomore forward: The quick and intelligent Class C South all-star led the Roadrunners with 20 goals and tacked on four assists as a freshman.

Kari Savage, Mt. Blue junior midfielder: After two years of playing wing or defensive midfielder, Savage will play attacking mid and become the Cougars’ primary scoring threat. She’s a physical player who is skilled at progressive passing, tackling and shooting from range.

Abby St. Clair, Winthrop senior midfielder/defender: St. Clair is the lone senior on a young Ramblers squad. The Class C South all-star had 11 goals and seven assists from her central defensive position.
