A second-half goal by Lydia Trytek propelled Gray-New Gloucester/NYA to a 1-0 win over Edward Little in a field hockey game Saturday in Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester/NYA improved to 2-1. Edward Little is 2-2.

LAKE REGION 4, OXFORD HILLS 0: Nica Walter and Abigail Travis both scored twice for the Lakers (1-2) in a victory over the Vikings (0-4) in Paris.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 6, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Aidan Pease and Alaina Kachnovich each scored twice as the Phoenix (3-0) rolled to a win over the Raiders (1-2) in Fryeburg.

Grace Cuthbertson and Linda Lake each added a goal and an assist.

Goalies Kyleigh Marcotte of Spruce Mountain and Brenna Slosberg of Fryeburg both made 12 saves.

MT. BLUE 2, MT. ARARAT 1: The Cougars (2-1) defeated the Eagles (2-1-1) in overtime in a KVAC matchup in Topsham.

Lily Huntley and Keira Adams scored for Mt. Blue, while Kali Judkins, Morgan Hersey and Amelia Chick each had an assist. Goalie Gwen Lesperance made eight saves.

Lily Ouellette scored Mt. Ararat’s goal. Jaymie Bergman stopped 18 shots.

GIRLS SOCCER

MORSE 1, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Bryn Gilmore scored for Gray-New Gloucester (0-2-1) and Zoe Nicholson answered for Morse (2-0-1) in a tie at Gray.

Ashley Anderson earned an assist on Gilmore’s goal.

Mallory Hardiman stopped 13 shots for the hosts, while Morse’s Hannah Keller made six saves.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 0, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Blake Gemelli made nine saves for Spruce Mountain (1-1-1) while Tanner Hale stopped five shots for Sacopee Valley (0-1-1)in a scoreless tie in Jay.
