DEAR SUN SPOTS: The United Methodist Church of Auburn at 439 Park Ave., will hold its Bean Supper on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 5 p.m.

The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, hot dogs, coleslaw, breads, beverages and homemade pies. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12. Children under 5 years old can have a meal at no cost. Musical entertainment is provided by the Park Avenue Pickers and will begin at 4:30 p.m.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: There will be a Baked Bean Supper at Sixth Street Congregational Church at 109 Sixth St. in Auburn, on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 4:30-6 p.m.

There will be two kinds of beans, red hot dogs, brown hot dogs, coleslaw, assorted casseroles, assorted desserts and beverages. The cost of the supper is $10 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 and under can eat for free. — Elizabeth, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston Senior Advisory Council (LSAC) invites Lewiston residents ages 50-plus to join council members at the Senior Center at the Lewiston Armory (65 Central Ave.) for a free light lunch on Monday, Oct. 27, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We will discuss what the Senior Council is doing and how you can help. We will listen to your concerns and invite feedback to help us carry out our mission. City administrator Bryan Kaenrath plans to attend.
