
Philip T. Smith
OXFORD – Philip T. Smith, 77, of Oxford, Maine passed away at home on Sept. 15, 2025, with his famliy by his side.
Phil was born in Oxford to Virgina Smith (Stone} and Forest Smith. Phil attended and graduated from Oxford High School in 1966. Following high school he attended Gorham Teachers College for two years and joined the United States Air force until 1972.
On August 4, 1968, he married the love of his life Cynthia L. Pike. They were happily married for 57 years.
Phil owned his own painting business for 50 years before turning over the business to his grandson. Phil also volunteered for the Oxford Police Department for many years. He was a past master of the Oxford Masonic Lodge #18.
Phil is survived by his wife Cyndi of Oxford; daughters Jennifer Stevens and her husband Brian, Stephanie Mason and her husband Jim; grandchildren Elijah and Davin Mason, Carly, Asa, and Brayden Stevens; his sister, Carol Loraine of Hollis N.H.; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Ronnie Smith, Forrest Smith; brother-in-law, Bob Loraine; and nephew, Todd Smith.
There will be a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford. Arrangements are under the care of Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford. Online condolences may be shared at http://www.chandlerfunerals.com
