LEWISTON — The Liberty Festival fireworks scheduled for Saturday in Lewiston-Auburn have been postponed until Monday.

According to a news release from the city of Lewiston, the decision to postpone was made after rain is expected Saturday night.

The fireworks display over Great Falls and the Androscoggin River will now occur Monday, July 5th at 9:30 p.m.

This year’s Liberty Festival was put together after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. The celebration does not include vendors, music, or other events, but Central Maine Pyrotechnics is putting on the fireworks.
