Everyone has a choice to listen to their own doctor and/or Dr. Anthony Fauci, or the misinformation put out by Tucker Carlson on Fox News, or Texas and Florida Republican governors leading the nation in COVID deaths and hospitalizations in their respective states.

Thankfully the people of Maine have followed the masking and vaccination policies of Gov. Janet Mills, Dr. Nirav Shah, and Dr. Fauci, which put Maine among the states with the lowest rates of COVID deaths and hospitalizations.

My hat’s off to them and my fellow Mainers with the good common sense to follow their lead.
