Rangeley police and fire personnel, including the Rangeley Fire Department Color Guard, formed a memorial parade through town Saturday morning to honor the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. U.S. Customs Border Patrol members, as well as local people and families, joined in along the way. The parade went from the town park boat landing to the scenic overlook in Rangeley, where the tower truck and other emergency vehicles were waiting. Robert Underwood on bagpipes led the way into the parking area where Chief Michael Bacon said a few words of remembrance, the bell was rung and a moment of silence was observed.
