LEWISTON — St. Mary’s Health System, a member of Covenant Health, has hired Debra Anthoine to the foundation team as its executive director of philanthropy.

Anthoine will be responsible for the hospital’s comprehensive philanthropic program, which includes annual funds, major and leadership gift development, capital fund programs, planned-giving and donor stewardship.

Anthoine is a lifelong community member and active volunteer. In addition to her work on the St. Mary’s capital campaign, she has also worked on the United Way of Androscoggin County’s annual campaign. Prior to accepting this new role, Anthoine held the position of director of advancement at Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn. She earned her master of education degree from the University of Southern Maine and bachelor of arts degree in English from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire.
