AUBURN – Albert F.
Gondeck Jr. died peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021. He was born on May 9, 1934 to Margaret (Hegdahl) and Albert F. Gondeck Sr. on Staten Island, N.Y.

At the age 14 years, he met the love of his life and on May 26, 1956 he married Lorraine Wright. They lived on Staten Island, NY then Somerville, N.J. In 1969 the family moved to Turner.

Albert served in the Army 1953-1955.

His career was in water treatment working for Calgon Corp until his retirement. Together, he, Lorraine, their five children and families established and created North Parish Tree Farm in 1982. After many enjoyable and fun-filled years on the farm they built and moved into their retirement home where they treasured many special family gatherings until Lorraine’s passing in 2016.

Albert is survived by his fur baby companion-Duke; his five children Jeffrey (Linda) Gondeck, Maryann (John) Leonard, Kathleen (Robert) Langelier, Nancy (John) Russell, Kristine (Rodney) Powell.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Brock Russell, Kyle (Sara) Russell, Jennifer (Dan) Phelan, Kimberly (Sam) Hill, Brandon Powell, Matthew (fiancée, Emma Jewett) Powell, Thomas (Lauren Farago) Langelier, Timothy Langelier, and Colin Leonard; four great-grandchildren, Camryn Phelan, Adelyn Hill, Jack and Autumn Leonard; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Burkley and Ann Borkowski.

Albert was predeceased by his loving wife, Lorraine; brother, Gordon; parents Albert and Margaret Gondeck Sr.; in-laws William and Anna Wright.

Visitation Fortin Auburn Wednesday Nov. 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Philips Church, 2365 Turner Rd., Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group Funeral Homes, 217 Turner St., Auburn 783-8545.
