Jesse Allan Peterson
RUMFORD – Jesse Allan Peterson, 40, died unexpectedly Monday March 21, 2022 at his residence on Hancock St in Rumford. Born in Rumford, on May 31, 1981 he was a son of James and MaryLou (Mooney) Peterson. Jesse was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School class of 2000 where he was a Captain of the football and wrestling teams. He was also co-wrestler of the State of Maine in 2000, and was state champion of 189lb weight class. In later years he competed in mixed Martial Arts. He also attended the University of Southern Maine College for three years and worked for his father as a logger for Red Oak Tree Service. He enjoyed working in the woods and the physical labor. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and game photographer. He had just returned from a Florida trip on Tuesday with his brother Matt and companion Kristie, it was a wonderful trip. He had attended Mass with his parents on Sunday March 20.Jesse is survived by a daughter Adalynn Peterson and her mother Nicole Lane of Naples, his parents, James and MaryLou Peterson of Rumford, a brother, Matthew Peterson and his companion Kristie Boucher of Rumford, his companion Erika Fellows of Rumford. He was predeceased by his grandparents and his beloved uncle Allan Mooney.Friends and family are invited to sign the online guest book and share memories with the family at http://www.meaderandson.com.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday March 26, 2022 at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church 126 Maine Ave in Rumford. Interment in the spring will be in St John Cemetery in Rumford.
