NORWAY — Join staff and volunteers from Western Foothills Land Trust (WFLT) for a delightful morning of nature observations on Sunday, May 29 at North Pond Bog in Norway. Spy nesting ospreys, red-winged blackbirds, cedar waxwings, flycatchers, as well as springbok plants from the comfort of your kayak or canoe. Participants will meet at the North Pond boat launch located on Round the Pond Road in Norway for this 9 a.m.-12 p.m. program.

North Pond is located in the town of Norway in Oxford County, Maine. The pond spans 273 acres, with a maximum depth of 10 feet, and average depth of 6 feet. North pond supports a warm fishery with 9 different species present. Bordered by a large wetland complex, the pond predominantly hosts largemouth bass, white perch, and chain pickerel fish species.
