AUBURN — Mechanic’s Savings Bank President Rick Vail announces the recent promotion of four employees to senior vice president in their respective departments.

Terry Bishop, who has been with the bank since July 2009, is chief financial officer, responsible for asset liability management, finance department oversight and management of correspondent bank relationships. Previously, he was chief financial officer for Hewes & Co. Inc. and vice president/controller for Skowhegan Savings Bank.

A certified public accountant, he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Machias and is a graduate of the New England School for Financial Studies.

Bishop is a member of the board of directors of Child Development Services.

He lives in Windham with his wife and children.

Debora Whittle is human resources manager, overseeing the department that handles hiring, benefits, payroll, reporting and employee relations. Hired in May of 1979, she worked as a teller, bookkeeper and head bookkeeper prior to joining the human resources department.

She has attended various seminars and conferences, and participates in the United Way Day of Caring, Heart Walk and Relay for Life.

Marianne Mason is the bank’s compliance officer, responsible for administering programs that ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensuring the bank meets the community’s credit needs under the Community Reinvestment Act. During her 21-year career with the bank, she has worked as a teller, customer service representative, loan servicing supervisor and compliance officer/assistant vice president.

Mason is involved with CMMC Associates and has attended various seminars and conferences.

She lives in Lewiston with her husband.

Kirk Egge is chief information officer, administering and maintaining the bank’s network infrastructure. Employed by the bank for three years, he has worked as a manager and, prior to that, owned and operated Data Management Solutions in Richmond, Va. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology and a master’s degree in public health.

He lives in Auburn with his wife and their children.
