Laurette (Bisson) Moore

LISBON – Laurette
(Bisson) Moore, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2022.

Born in Lewiston on March 21, 1932, to Machias and Odelie Bisson, she was one of 16 children. She was educated in the Lisbon schools, and from a young age she worked on the family farm. On Sept. 1, 1951, she married the love of her life and best friend Robert Moore. They settled in Lisbon and raised six children.

Laurette loved playing cards and her biggest joy was spending time with family. She was witty, had a great sense of humor, and her flirtatious nature made more than a few people blush! She was a hard worker and always willing to help. Everyone knew her as “Memere”, and she will be remembered for her love and acceptance of all that came into her life. Anyone that had the joy of knowing Memere can attest to what a wonderful woman she was.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert; daughter, Claudette Berry, son, Daniel Moore; granddaughter, Jennifer Wilson, and grandsons Galen Penney and Bradley Krog Jr.

She is survived by her children Diane Brown, Debra Wilson and husband Sam, David Moore and wife Allison, Lisa Cloutier and husband Rick; as well as 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Parish, 67 Frost Hill Ave., Lisbon Falls, on Thursday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m., with burial to follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life immediately following at the home of Lisa and Rick Cloutier.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice.
