ANDOVER —A Hanover man died Thursday morning when a tree he was cutting fell on him.

Mark Beaudoin, 53, was alone removing trees in a wooded area at 811 South Main St. when a tree fell and struck him, Oxford County Chief Deputy James Urquhart said.

A neighbor found Beaudoin unresponsive and called 911 at 8:33 a.m. Beaudoin, who was wearing safety equipment, died instantly, Urquhart said.

The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and Andover Fire Department responded to the scene near Airport Road.
