Police and firefighters work Thursday late afternoon at a collision at East Avenue and Russell Street in Lewiston where one car flipped over. At least one person was taken to a hospital. The drivers were out of their vehicles when emergency crews arrived about 5 p.m. Police were investigating the cause of the wreck, which snarled traffic along East Avenue and Russell and Sabattus streets for a short time.
