A fire destroyed a home on Thompson’s Point in Naples Thursday afternoon.

Several towns responded to the fire at 85 Bayou Road, but when crews arrived the 1.5-story wood frame home was fully engulfed in flames, Naples Fire Chief Justin Cox told News Center Maine. One person was home at the time, but was not injured, Cox said.

Firefighters from Naples, Casco, Raymond, Bridgton and Sebago responded. Bayou Road is located across the Songo River from Sebago Lake State Park.

The cause of the fire, which was reported around 1:20 p.m., remains under investigation.
