PARIS — The Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association is pleased to announce the return of the Lenten Luncheon Series. The luncheons will be held at the First Congregational church of Paris at 17 East Main Street. The luncheons will occur at noon every Friday, beginning on February 24, and will run through March 31. All churches and community members are invited to join us.
Enjoy a lunch of soup, sandwiches, coffee, and cookies for $5 or a food donation for the Oxford Hills Food Pantry. All monetary proceeds will be used to help the needy in our communities through the Oxford Hills Clergy Association Community Fund. Each Friday there will also be music and a different member of the area clergy will share a lenten reflection. On February 24, the speaker will be the Rev. Nancy Moore of the Christ Episcopal Church in Norway. On March 3, the speaker will be Pastor Bo Landsperg of the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church and the Minot United Methodist Church. On March 10, Pastor Len Avecilla of the Trinity Lutheran Church in South Paris will be the speaker. On March 17, the Rev. Fayre Stephenson of the Norway Universalist Church will be speaking. Rev. Sara Bartlett from the Second Congregational Church of Norway will be sharing a Lenten reflection on March 24. Rev. Mike Carter of the First Congregational Church will be the speaker on March 31. Eric Hanson of the Hosanna Church in Oxford will be providing the music each week.
All are invited to join with others from the area churches and the community in this time of fellowship and reflection.
