PARIS — Following the huge success of its inaugural event in 2022, Young’s Greenhouse – one of Maine’s largest greenhouses – is once again inviting the community to help kick off the season with their Annual Spring Event, Opening Celebration, and Scavenger Hunt.
The fun-filled, family-friendly event will take place at Young’s Greenhouse, located at 643 High Street in Paris on April 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Coinciding with the opening of Young’s annual planting season, the spring celebration will feature a giant scavenger hunt, a bounce house, dunk tank, games, cotton candy, popcorn, and more, all in Young’s fourteen heated greenhouses. There will be door prizes and the first 500 people will receive a free goodie bag. The community day is in partnership with Moss Brook Church, which is also providing the music.
For the plant lovers, the greenhouses will be open with a supply of tropical plants, succulents, and spring flowers ready for sale.
The event is just the start of an exciting 2023 season planned at Young’s Greenhouse. In addition to its traditional workshops throughout the year – including Fairy Garden, Succulent Garden, Herb Garden, and Christmas Workshops – Young’s Greenhouse has added a new Fall Succulent Workshop to its lineup, during which participants will create a long-lasting fall decoration. Also new this year, Young’s is offering private workshop parties. Special event weekends include:
Mother’s Day Weekend, Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
During the free event, customers can join Young’s Greenhouse and celebrate mom with a mother & daughter or son photo shoot in the greenhouses with a beautifully decorated backdrop.
